I especially love that this Series 2 watch is waterproof and has GPS, both of which allow for a greater range of recorded activities. I can tap the date at the top left and bring up my calendar for the day. Depending on which watch face you choose (and you can change from minute to minute), I can tap on the outdoor temperature to bring up the forecast. I can see what my heart rate is, see my progress on activity goals, and start recording a specific exercise. I can control the music I want played out of my iPhone (great when I’m walking outside with headphones on). I can text using the voice control, and I can conjure up Siri. Many apps that are compatible with the iPhone are also compatible with the Watch.
Apple Watch connects to your iPhone via Bluetooth 4.0 and displays notifications, apps, and more on its 1.3″ display. It can also connect directly to the Internet thanks to 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi. The internal battery lasts for up to 18 hours of normal use and is recharged with an included inductive magnetic charger.
